Frank – Dublin, 1987 is rooted in one of my earliest memories — Dublin’s league final win over Kerry in 1987 at Croke Park. I remember being a kid in the stands, surrounded by faces that seemed etched with history — men who had seen good days and hard ones, whose expressions carried as much weight as the match itself. Even in victory, there was a kind of restrained joy, a familiar Dublin mix of pride and cynicism — that sense that things could always be better, that the struggle was never quite over.

This painting is my way of capturing that feeling — the people, the pride, and the complexity that lived in those moments.

Each print is a fine art reproduction of my original mixed media painting, created primarily with acrylic paint on Belle Arti Gesso Panel, with spray-painted backgrounds lending a smooth, clean finish and subtle depth.
